Encryption and Obfuscation are both used to keep your data safe. They both have their uses and work in similar ways, but there are differences.

@DBZisthebestanimever yes, but 128 bit encryption would take a very very long time, and 256 bit that is in AES would take a lifetime currently.

wait? can't you find out the decryption key by trying out EVERY possible things on a supercomputer?

@dfr343 they would need the private key, then they would have to decrypt it which takes years on non-supercomputers in order to get the public key and gain access.
