Kharkiv. Scouts from 130th Kyiv Territorial Defence Battalion under Russian fire

Accompanied by Roman Buczko, cameraman from Lviv, I went on reconnaissance to the Ukrainian-Russian border.
That day, May 29th, President Zelensky visited Kharkiv. At that time none of us knew about it, but Russians must have sensed something. Their missiles, more often than on previous days, were shot to hit the north-eastern part of the city, and in the border areas the fire was irregular, however frequent.
In the team of five soldiers Lock, Cap and Bug were professional rugby players. Lock played in the Ukrainian national team and many European leagues, also in Poland, for 10 years. White is a parachutist and a great marathoner, and Antonio is a young engineer, a security specialist. There is also Max, a physician from the Medical Company, in civilian life a veterinary surgeon from Kyiv. Soldiers from 130th Battalion have a reputation of daring and a bit crazy but also lucky. They defended Kyiv, they were in Bucha and Irpin. They have defended Kharkiv and areas close to the Russian border.
In the distance we can see a column of smoke, the scouts commander decides: “We’ll check what happened there”. We set off towards the town Pytomnyk.
A reportage by Robert Kowalski.

Thank you for uploading the English subtitles, making it much easier to spread the news to the world

Thanks for not adding unneeded commentary on this and letting the scenery, events and military personal speak for themselves.
Also it's really helpfull to have english subtitles for us who would otherwise not be able to understand .

Thank you, thank you, THANK I'm so grateful you didn't add any "sensational/dramatic" music. So many documentaries are completely ruined because of the unnecessary music.

You allowed the silence, the scenery, the obvious tension and the words to do everything. Absolutely brilliant 👏

Thank You for this wonderful look at a few GOOD men fighting for Ukraine!!!
When Victor got emotional, I did too. They all gave a little look into their lives and that made them personable and NOT just soldiers.
When they were in the forest, that jay bird squawking made the scene all the more real. Really made a difference seeing that there is still wildlife.

Glory to Ukraine!
Slava Ukraine!
God Bless Ukraine!

Very impressed with these lads, their professionalism shows clearly, far smarter as soldiers than the orcs. Even pulling up for the first time near the burning house, they don't get lazy, they go into what we call a 'hide' drill, especially with vehicles, you notice they back them in tail to tail, off the road, so they can bug out easily but also to provide all round cover. The LMG operator sets up a defensive position despite it being just a stop. Those little actions done all the team keep a good team alive. Lights covered on vehicles, constant radio contact, clears cellar of booby traps....awesome group and again that's why they are scouts and still alive and I'd happily work with them any day. 👍🇺🇦🇺🇦💪🇬🇧 Slava Ukraini

This is top tier right here. No editing, no grabs, this is like watching a war movie but better. It’s not scripted, it’s genuine.

I am in awe of the bravery, mentality, common sense and all round cameradie of these Ukrainian soldiers. They are men amongst men. May their lives be spared and peace ret8to their country. May the forest soon be a place of magical beauty where one can walk in peace and listen to birdsong. 🕊️🌲🌲💙💛
