Don't underestimate Garen, he's a good one for the toplane and will almost never let you down if used properly!

It is definetly lot of fun to be Garen and suprise enemies who think they'll gonna beat you. Since i read your guide, i never ever lost again to champs like Teemo, Vayne, Gnar or Fiora so far (*knocking on wood*)

i still have some problems to keep Nas from stacking (hard to time) and to prevent Yasuo from snowballing :D

in the pastries get the executioner and increases spell damage by 3% whenever u auto attack someone, that ll make ur multi much stronger

I started playing LoL only a week or so ago and Garen was my first buy.  I usually play tanks as mains in rpgs so he was a good fit.  I have found your guide, including the written one on mobafire, to be very helpful.  Currently I am playing co-op games against AI bots just to level up.  Any suggestions for leveling?  It seems like quite a long grind.  I tend to not build quite as tanky as you recommend since it isn't needed so much for most AI bots that I encounter in the top lane (some combos can be tricky though if I don't get another decent player helping in my lane).  So I will go for a Brutalizer first then boots then tank items.  Thanks again for your great guide.

I prefer build Garen (is my main champion) more AD than tank (for example Hydra (look patch 4.12), IE, BC, TF/SV, Warmog, Swiftness), because then is a monster in the line and push tower very fast. Imo Garen as tank is total useless, can only spins, sometimes tanks dragon, tower or baron.
