not sure why it is so rare to find ones with tips pointing out, i found this very important to get a proper grip, will al the grease/oil usually there the rings does slip

I've seen some with little hooks that catch so the snap ring can't slip off. I can't find of that style though.

My Knipex were great when new. After 20 or so snap rings the tip bent and broke off. Not good. My favorite pair is a plier I bought at Ace Hardware 30 plus years ago. I can't find any brand name on them. They also would convert from internal to external, however all good things must come to an end. They're worn out. I'm so tired of wasting money on trying to replace these pliers. I recently bought a pair of Channellock brand. I haven't tried them yet. If I don't like them maybe the Langs are next. Thanks for the review.
