Headband lamps work the best for me. Also they are very cheap !

I use flashlights every day. I've had pretty good luck with the Coast led headlights. I use Streamlight flashlights. And recently picked up a few cheap harbor freight Quantum 215 pocket worklights. They work pretty well too.
