Legos will discolor in complete darkness too. True story. I was previously oblivious to this being a thing. I’m a builder from the mid 70’s. I put most of my collection in storage in my garage sometime around 2010. At that point the only discolored Lego I had were those bricks that actually spent time in a sandbox in the 70’s. When I pulled my collection out storage last year almost about half of my white bricks discolored. Same with grey and some blue.

And for fixing the cracked plastic . Take the figure apart and then get a toothpick and some super glue to then add it to the cracked areas … fixed issue

So, this is well known BUT there are reports of those treated LEGO as being then more brittle… AFAIK LEGO does not endorse this process as a result.

Warning, do not do this, it does not reverse the effect, it just makes it worse, it looks fine for a bit, but the yellowing comes back worse
