How to estimate square roots with visual models

In this video, you'll see how to estimate square roots using visual models-- in this case, we'll be using small pieces of cut paper as our manipulatives. This will make the process of approximating square roots super visual for our students who need that scaffold. This method of approximating the square roots of numbers can be done without a calculator and even without a number line. I'll also show you how and why this process of finding square works with manipulatives works.
