This is how you increase the cost of goods to the consumers. Thanks California.

Anyone recall the supply chain issues during covid?

Mark my words… either the legislation will change its deadlines… or ports will move harbors… lets build a new one in the gulf of california and ship directly into arizona to bypass the california crap. If they want all that, they can figure out how to replace those jobs etc.

So if the trucking co's move out, and there is no money to replace them, then I guess sea ports will clog again?

Go pick up your dry goods yourself at the port. They don't care how much it costs. You will need a Tesla to enter the port

"Zero Emissions Vehicles" = "Elsewhere Emissions Vehicles."

And yet every summer our skies are filled with smoke due to fires. But ok, trucks. Private jets ok’d. Constant rocket launches ok’d. Everyone in charge has got their heads so far up their…

A lot of these trucks provide drayage from ports to inland shipping terminals. They’re older model rigs that basically haul containers. They mostly operate in port areas; Long Beach, Oakland, Stockton, etc - these are not the long- haul interstate trucks. A lot of small business operators will be forced out of work. This may have beneficial results in the long term by reducing some emissions, but in the meantime there are a lot of logistical and supply issues that will result.

Good opportunity for new truckers (until they're replaced by driverless trucks).

The new manager forced the large and medium-sized transportation companies that have been in normal operation for many years to move out of the port of Oakland site, and then sent the benefits to AMB to operate the parking fee, which increased the parking fee by 3 times for the current transportation company! It makes it difficult for the entire transportation industry to operate normally, and seriously affects the customer service of the port of Oakland. Many customers feedback that they want to switch to the port of Long Beach, not to mention the customers in the e-commerce industry!
