That’s where you wear stuff to protect you for radioactivity if you’re gonna walk into the most radioactive place in your town

Absolutely some of the least intelligent specimens known as Humans. Well known as humans for now at least, until the mutations take hold.

this is the training center at Fukushima, not the power plant itself
(note that the ceiling in the "control room" is just an office ceiling, the ceiling in the actual control rooms looks different, more industrial)
the final readings you show us are like 630 CPM
you don't show any readings from the "control room" because readings inside the building were likely lower than outside
I also think you choose CPM on the geiger counter because it gave the biggest number and looked more scary, I see you use the device in Sv/h mode in other videos, a much more reasonable unit for actually telling how radioactive a place is
I only briefly skimmed through the other, longer videos on this channel, none of them seem to have additional context to these clips
I don't want to discount how dangerous radiation can be, but it really isn't as bad as most people make it out to be
630 CPM isn't actually that much
of course it depends on the type of geiger counter (and I'm not gonna bother tracking down the exact model)
but in the other videos the radiation is about 0.00023mSv/h
630 CPM would potentially be like 0.000525mSv/h
a transatlantic flight is like 0.1mSv
annual dose usually is like 2.1mSv
a CT scan is like 10mSv
I almost can't believe these numbers
but like
this is nothing
this is like 2.5x background radiation
you could chill here for a year and only be exposed to like 4.6 mSv
even if I am getting these numbers wrong by like an order of magnitude or two or three or four
you'd still be far below the 100 mSv required to give you even the mildest consequences (slightly increased cancer risk)
It would take like 1000 mSv to make you feel sick in any meaningful way

“Left before I started feeling sick”… meanwhile, walking around in a radioactive hot zone in t-shirt and shorts.

If you start feeling sick — it’s too late.

Thank you for sacrificing for this footage. May you rest in peace.

It's bad when you see abandoned cars and it's worse to see an abandoned nuclear reactor but imagine seeing abandoned tanks pointing at the reactor and imagine what must have happened there

As much as many people (myself included) enjoyed seeing the interesting content in this video, you need to stop making these. The danger to your health isn't worth it! ☢️⚠️ Please, for the sake of your friends and loved ones, stop going into radioactive areas; they'd never get over it if something bad happened to you! 😢

Fantasy: 1 in a million chance of gaining a super power.

Realism: outlook not good.

As a Japanese, they just abandoned their house to escape from radiation, so please don't vandalise them. Leave it as it is.🙏❤️

For those who are wondering whether he will die. No he will not as firstly the radiation already have died down. There is now tours around the nuclear power plant for people to take and its completely safe already.

You guys were cool for awhile but what youre doing is extremely selfish. You carry that radioactivity whereever you go. It doesnt go away when you leave.
