Exploring Norway

The restaurant "Phileas Fogg" that you checked out does of course have food from around the world. It is named for the main character in "Around the World in 80 Days" by Jules Verne.

Regarding the language, you will find plenty of Norwegian words that are similar to English words, due to the Norse influence on the English language and also due to Norwegian taking up words from English and other European languages. One example of the latter is "Sone", which is the Norwegian version of "zone". Both English and Norwegian got that word from French (and they got it from Greek).
