I loved it and grew it in my garden, but in my later years I became allergic to it; and started to cough so much and than it would close my throat and I gasped for breath … I wish I could have it again 😢 …

I always thought this but I literally ate chili peppers every day every meal.
And was obese. I quit eating them along with some other things and lost weight. This has honestly baffle me.

I do not want to release stress hormone. I want to AVOID releasing stress hormone. I do not want to "fight or flight". There is enough stress in life already without eating chilli peppers! I want to RELAX! What should I eat?

I want a better explanation.. more science not claims. No offense meant. I may buy Li’s two books or one (I expect there’s lot of overlap). He is reluctant to comment on actual fasting (weeks with just water intake)… maybe he feels he knows too little or the science is not “in” sufficiently. But the science is on all topics open to being revised or it isn’t actual science. His insistence on there being magical foods I’ve begun to see as a pattern, and perhaps sone are helpful. Yet why ban anything, including NOT consuming food for a time (for some of us or most of us… so guidelines, cautions, suggestions or discussions of how often to repeat, tne body adapting in negative ways or positive ones or most likely BOTH (to fasting, eg) would be a welcome addition to Dr. li’s prolific content online, on legacy media, in popular books he’s written, etc. .
