I've had my gen 3 Oura ring since early 2022. While I love the ring and the app, the battery life is now reduced to less than 4 days. I've lost sleep data because it doesn't record properly when the battery is down to the last 20% or so. I'm keen to upgrade to gen 4 but I feel that Oura should offer to let me trade in my current ring in order to get a discount on a gen 4, especially as I pay a monthly subscription.

What finger do you wear it on? I have the gen 4 sizing kit. The 6 fits best on my index finger of my non dominant hand but it got quite tight overnight. The 7 is more comfortable but I don’t think it’s snug enough… should I get the 6?

If you keep your current ring consider using flight mode. I use flight mode every night and then when I'm getting washed in the morning I put it on the charger and it's ready to go. I never have to worry about battery doing it this way.
