Son borrowed my truck. He only brought it back because it needed fuel. It stalled on the railroad tracks a block from the gas station... He doesn't use my truck anymore.

I'd loved to hear Scotty go through a list of all cars and give his opinion on them one by one, it'd take a while but it'd be an interesting series!

I'll never forget when a mechanic tried to charge me $2, 300 to change my fuel system, including my gas tank. He said it was rotted out! It was a plastic gas tank like Scotty said. I took my car back, kept my money and never returned.

Hey Scotty, my grandfather has a 1993 Lexus SC400 V8 with 280, 000 miles on it. He’s had it’s since it was brand new, he’s had no issues at all. He also has a 2006 SC430 and has no problems with that rather. He loves both of them. I’ve got a 2006 ES330, 2007 ES350, and 2008 LS460 (4.6 L V8). They’re all running strong, no issues.

My aunt has a 91 or 92 Accord. 200, 000 miles, original brake pads, original clutch, never broke down once. Amazingly well built car.

Another thing with the squeaky belt is "from what i have seen on one of our cars" is on replacing an accessory seemed to cause belt noise. An found out the pulley didnt line up with the other pulleys... " squeak" so with careful placement of a washer to move the alternator to one side.... no more noise. So pulley alignment is a factor also.

As a proud former owner of a 1992 Geo Storm I can say they were very good and well-built cars.

As for the G35 the tensioner is a manual. If it's too tight it will make noise and if too loose it will as well. Verify the crank pulley is fully seated and the fan clutch (if auto sedan) isn't sticking. Keep tweaking the belt tensioner till it stops if everything checks out

My mom had a 2000 Geo Metro. Don't know mileage but it was a lot. Just had to get rid of it last year due to the frame, frame horns, practically the underneath was rusted out due to the WV winters. She hated to let it go. But car still ran good!!!

That myth doesn't hold up. If there's crud in your tank, it will sink to the bottom of the tank and immediately get sucked through the lines regardless of how much fuel is in the tank. Love your channel Scotty, from Australia !!!!

To the guy with the TDI Jetta, Scotty is wrong!! It needs a clutch. That is all. 4th gear is where they all slip when the clutch is going. Please like this so the guy gets the proper information.

if the fuel pump is kept cool, as you say by the fuel then you dont want to let the pump become unsubmerged as it will run hotter...ive never run out of gas in over 30 years of driving and i used to run it all the way down to nothing and had to buy fuel pumps...now i never let it go below a quarter tank and have not had any fuel pump problems since (i heard the car talk guys say not to let it go below a quarter tank)
