My mother in law had a few Brother machines she said kept breaking thread. Well, turns out she had waaaay too big of thread for the needles, and the bobbin shuttle was jam packed full of lint. So 20 minutes of tinkering, cleaning, and oiling, and swapping the thread later she now has 2 Brother machines that work like brand new. I asked her if she had ever read through the manual, nope. Told her that would be a good place to start. Lol
