The original scene is awesome! But George Lucas probably took it out because it would be too violent for younger kids

The second is way too brutal for a Jedi, even one using Vaapad. Destroying his blaster doesn't remove him as a threat. Due to his armour the only mark of contact that could be used to properly stop him was the one that removed his head. Ending a fight as quickly and painlessly as possible is the Jedi way.

I think a mixture of the first and second would’ve been nice but i definitely prefer the the movie one over the second
