Short Boerboel Description:
Boerboels are large, well balanced mastiffs with average height between 23-28 inches which is 59-70 cm and average weight between 150-200 pounds which is 65-90 kg. Naturally, the females are little bit smaller than males.

While this breed is very alert and not trusting towards strangers, they are very affectionate towards their family. They like good playtime, even with children. The breed gets along with dogs, cats and other animals, but this varies based on each dog’s individual temperament.

Boerboel is not the typical mastiff, they are more lean, athletic and agile. That is why Boerboels require a moderate amount of activity and like to use their minds as well as their bodies. Daily longer walk is a must if you want to have a happy boerboel.

I once went jogging with my sister and a gate of one of the houses opened and 2 very big boerboels came out. The walked next to us for a while until we were far away from their house and left us. Really nice dogs

I have never come across a dog that understands its family's dynamics like this dog. It almost switches into different modes to guard different people. I left my Boerboel at my cousins place for about a year, since she spent quite a bit of time studying at home while her husband was working. I thought that my dog was the ultimate softy who only looked intimidating to strangers. But when her husband went to work, he would be extra vigilant and never leave her side when people came to do maintenance or when the gardeners came over. He would run to the gate with supreme confidence and a very poise posture when he heard something he did not like, and come back to sit close to her after his investigation. And when her husband gets back home, he's back to his goofy old sweet self. It was amazing to witness that maturity in my dog when duty called.

You jave no idea what a boerboel is, they are capable of killing a lion, its not just a story, they work as a pack to bring the lion down.
They are not agressive dogs, they looove attention but will protect their own
