Stucco Chimney Repair, Crown Flashing Drip Edge - Flue Guru

The bricks on this chimney had soaked up water, eroded, and spalled off causing the stucco to let go and fall off. To repair this chimney, first we added a custom crown flashing with a drip edge so the water drips off, and no further damage occurs. Next we knocked off any loose pieces of stucco and put a scratch coat on. We dried the big patches with a propane torch in case it rains because we’re in the middle of the wet season here in Victoria. Then I put the final coat of stucco over that.
