Could Ollie be the prototype in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3?

There’s also a theory that if he isn’t the prototype he could be baby long legs. Since if he was a human during the hour of joy, he would be at least 15-20 but he sounds like a kid so he must be a human toy and that alludes to baby long legs..but we’ll just have to wait and see

The prototype has to use voice clips to talk because he doesn’t have a voice box so that would mean that Ollie could be his own character or he could have met the prototype and spoken to him but I think that’s highly unlikely.

I also kind of want to point out sometimes. When you listen to how Ollie talks. Like really pay attention. Compared to the VHS tapes of the other people talking, they speak with more emotion. But with Ollie. He just has a certain tone like he doesn't speak like how a person would. Not to mention, he may sound like a child. Id say between 9 - 12 he speaks with a slightly mature language.

I only just realized that the prototype imitated the scientist's voice at the very end. Chills, makes me believe that Ollie really is the prototype.

There's this theory that Ollie isn't the prototype but the security system itself. He used to help and guide staff in the past and thats how he knows how to activate machines and stuff. His voice sounds off or robotic from time to time. He sees us everywhere through security cameras, for example when he asked us if the shrine scared us, how could he have possibly known that we saw it? During chases you can see some doors opening just by walking infront of them, but during the gameplay the only way you could open the doors is by the hand or batteries. And sometimes the doors even close infront of us so we could go in the right way, that's Ollie guiding us. He didn't ask us why we didn't turn the power generator in the school house nor how we got in the playhouse through the school, because he clearly already knew. The only problem is that Ollie can't communicate when theres a toy nearby. When poppy helped us turn the power on she told us Ollie would call soon even tho he could have called just then. The toys have some sort of device in them that prevents them from talking to one another. He even communicated through text on the monitor when he warned us catnap is near, before the bossfight. This is probably the most logical theory in my opinion. If he was the prototype why would poppy work with him and why would he help us defeat the prototype if its himself? It just doesn't make sense but who really knows..

The prototype is pretty clearly talking though recordings of what others have said to it, could it have learned and improved to the point where it’s able to control it this well? Possible, it has been 15 years or more, however I don’t think this is conclusive.
I still hold to the idea they are likely 2 different entities since Ollie have no reason to send us around doing all sorts of stuff if he is also the prototype and CatNap obeys him… he could have either had CatNap take us out a lot earlier or not stop us from doing the thing with the gas.

After chapter 4, Ollie is CONFIRMED to be the prototype the whole time

I saw on someones stream, I think a dev typed in their chat, that it was originally planned like that. I don’t think that’s the direction they are going for now. Most likely they are getting you to befriend Ollie and later have the prototype mimic him to mislead you.

YALL I JUST HAD A EUREKA MOMENT what if prototype is mimicking the voice of theodore grambell from when he would talk to prototype bc they were “friends”
btw, possibly a play on the name “grambell” after Alexander “Graham Bell” - the man who invented the TELEPHONE

Something people don’t think about though. The subtitles. When Ollie speaks his name is in green and catnap speaks it’s purple. So likely it’s a green character. My guess is that it’s hoppy hopscotch since in his cut out while it does glitch out it is saying he is jumping to the moon. Perhaps he was trying to escape and got to a security room. One that catnap couldn’t access due to it being a location outside the playcare or simply hoppy is smaller than catnap so was able to hold himself up in the toy shop area we don’t get to explore

Either this is true, and the prototype wanted to learn more of the player, or Ollie really is just his own character

I like to believe ollie is one of the babies and that he was saved during the hour of joy possibly by kissy missy, i mean its not that big of a stretch and they most likely had big cafeterias and kitchens for the children, babies, and faculty.
Besides only 10 years have passed so the voice is in the right age range.

Theories-

Ollie is the prototype - personally I think this unlikely because the prototype is clearly warding you away from the factory while ollie is guiding you through it, unless theres some crazy reverse psychology going on. Its also possible that Ollie/ the prototype guides the player to kill catnap bc it makes the prototype stronger, which would be an amazing game mechanic, the more you progress the stronger the final boss becomes.

Ollie is baby long legs - This is pretty likely, ollie has to be a living toy because otherwise he would be too old to sound the way he does in the game

Ollie is the phone- this is my personal favourite and it explains why Ollie is able to see everything we're doing, and why he's able to give us the keys through the pipes. Maybe hes plugged into the electrical system and can control certain things?

Ollie isnt real, he is a manifestation of the player's will to save the victims of playtime co - Personally I dont think this one is all that likely either, since Poppy directly refers to Ollie and knows who he is. Unless those lines of speech from Poppy are ALSO imagined by the player.

It’s the way Ollie’s voice changes. Whenever the prototype comes up, it’s more sarcastic. Even when he’s “friendly”, it doesn’t sound natural

Ollie is just the Mimic, luring us to the deepest parts of the factory, Before the big reveal, Prototype throws us the radio he was using to communicate with us.
