Fix Packet Loss | Discord Voice Chat | 2024 Guide

Talking over voice chat in Discord, but cutting out a lot? See that you have high ping and/or packet loss? This video covers some info on what could be causing it, as well as some solutions.

0:00 - Explanation
0:10 - Check Discord Status
0:40 - Change Discord server region

1:30 - Use Ethernet/Wired connection
1:40 - Toggle noise suppression

weirdly I only have issues with discord while I'm playing some of the included games they introduced, namely the poker and putt putt games.

I restart my pc and router, sometimes the ms is at 50/60 and then spikes to 100 or 200. I guess I just live in shitty place/house or its my "modern high tech" router that doesn't even have turn off button.

My issue is that it just spikes to 5000 ping and I have to reconnect the channel but it goes right back after a few minutes. I have to restart my modem and that fixes the issue for a while.

i need help my discord gets from 40 - 60% packetloss whenever i screen share games but only games from epic games, ive tried everything from atleast 10 different videos, i dont know what to do and how to fix it please help me. and this randomly started happening.

ive tried almost everything and nothing works, my main problem is that my voice connected thing at the botton right, when im not speaking the three green bars are there and my outband packet loss rate is at 0.0%, but when i start talking in the vc, the three green bars go down to one red bar and my connection is bad and my outband packet loss rate percentage goes up from 0.0%, do you have any solutions for this? i desperately need one

So in my case and it seems to be a rare case cause no video explains this but, my problem is when im streaming/screensharing any game to my friends, my packet loss goes down only when I talk. My game goes choppy on screen and I lag in game. Has anyone found a solution to this? It started to happen at very random times when i know i didnt download anything.

Hey I’ve been having some trouble with discord it seems to be whenever I talk in discord my connection goes red and I get packet loss and it affects me in game. Do you know any way to fix this I’ve looked it up and no one seems to have this problem but me and I’ve tried everything to fix it

it's weird for my case. I have :
-15ms singapore server
-fiber internet
-ethernet cable, my pc does not have wifi
-0% packet loss
-every settings trial and error like video

and the robot voice still happens intermittently. I have no idea what else to do.

My issue is the icon where you can see your packet loss is grey and i when im holding my mouse over it i cant see my ping it just stays grey anyone knows how to fix this problem??

While i haven't tried a VPN and using web discord seemed to work i have tried all of the other fixes on here and they didn't work for me, is anyone else recently experiencing this like me and if so do you possibly know the reason.
