I've grown up always knowing the word modem, but not once did I ever think it was just the words MOdulation and DEModulation combined. I've never heard someone use the words modem and modulation in a sentence together until this video, but I think that's because of how old it is. There's a wealth of information to learn from these old videos because the instructors have to actually understand every piece of the puzzle and not just "connect the cables/restart" as you see with modern IT people. Also speaks a tone on the difference between a good and okay teacher, comprehension vs knowledge.
