I think for most folks who don't do a lot of jacking up a car, especially the Sorento as was used in this demo, the options mentioned are pretty simple to follow and safely get the job done. How bout just jack up the entire front end by placing the jack under the subframe, and then putting the jack stands on the pinch welds (where they're designed to go).
