A canon vault with a non-canon backstory. Weird 🤔

I consider this canon. As a man beating the shit out of people with a puppet sounds so... fallout.

Homie really just went "ight I'm bored, gonna max out my unarmed stats"

I'd love to see "puppetman" ghoulified and turn up in a later fallout

One little detail about the comic that I liked is when the other puppets talked, the speech bubbles came from the man, but vault boys speech bubble came from the actual puppet

I’m gonna say it’s canon just because I want to believe some dude is running around murdering people with a puppet on his hand

what if Vault 77 was a DLC, where you try and find the puppet man and if you kill him you get the puppet as a melee weapon? Would be interesting to see more of Vault 77.

I think that the comic is actually considered canon but otherwise great summary

So Vault 77’s experiment was just how fast you could break someone into doing snowgrave route??

I feel like this guy would be a great wild wastland encounter for new vegas

It'd be really cool if in a later fallout game you could actually find this puppet and it's an unarmed weapon

Seems crazy enough to be Canon, testing how people will act and react to very little stimulus, like solitary confinement but a fallout vault test, which sounds exactly like something that would exist in that universe. 100+ people in a series of separated rooms with the only interaction with anyone or anything being the times they are fed...

imagine you can encounter him in fallout 3 as a quest or a random encounter. that would be horrifying

The fact that this comic is so awesome and yet is considered non-canon is an absolute travesty.

I really want to meet this guy and the "granade throwing riding motorcycle" guy that raider mention in fallout 4 in future fallout games

Fucking love the lore of 77, it's one of the reasons I started to play fallout

imagine after picking the suit up you start being hunted by him until he kills you or you drop it, meanwhile whenever he's close some form of horror music plays and gets louder the closer he is

My speculation of the vault is this:
Vault 77 even though its location is unknown i speculate that its close to DC as itself the dweller run into a slaver party likely from paradise falls as the vault suit is found there.
As for the experiment:
It was to see how long a human being was able to survive/stay sane in an ambience of complete isolation with no company or comunication other than probably the vaults common entertainment tapes and maybe a robot, and of course the crate of puppets.
But other than that, the vault was probably fine as there wasn't (or at least we didn't know about) any defects in the vault or experiments.

My theory is that a Vault-Tec employee hid a speaker in the dummy, and spoke through it to the dweller. He just did a bit of trolling.

This is my favourite vault story. Even if it’s not canon the vault suit in FO3 is more than enough to make it my headcanon
