“Less experienced pilots are more prone to crashes…”

Damn I had no idea

"Well the reasons for these might not be what you thinking"
**Proceeds to show the exact reasons what I was thinking**

Reason 4 . Plane engine goes out and it turns into a glider, helicopter engine goes out and it turns into a rock.

I would say transmission fails not engine fails. a helicopter can autorotate if the engine fails but can't if the transmission fails.

A plane wants to fly
A helicopter does not.

It is your job as a pilot to make it *submit*

Old pilots, bold pilots, no old bold pilots.

Those Black Hawks decided to become pancakes after that 10 meter fall, geez 😋

They needed to do studies to realize pilots with less experience are more likely to crash.
Why? Everything takes a lot of practice to do successfully

Who wouldve thought a vehicle held up by spinning death blades was prone to crashing?

There is some apples and oranges comparisons here. In the GA world, the fatality rate per 100k hrs is about the same for a heli and planes. Due to the huge difference in what each airframe is used for, a heli does have a higher crash rate but understand the operating conditions too.

The comment on engine failure cause is just wrong.

Like most all non-commercial flights, most crashes are pilot action related. IIMC / weather a top one.

Skid slide landing a helicopter will make you a legend after your cleared by the FAA .

If we can get about 200 meters from the ground. When the engine gives put. We can auto rotate to the given LZ

So pilots who train more crash less. Wow some ground breaking research there.

The 9th one was a mechanical failure, that is why you don't fly on top of people who you don't want to kill

When an airplane has engine loss, good pilots use aerodynamics to get on the ground safely.
However, when a Helo looses an engine, it falls from the sky like a Boulder. Helos do not use aerodynamics, and that is a double-edged sword

I was expecting him to say that it’s because helicopters practically fight their way in the air
