TARDIS render by Aidan Wilkinson:

Stuff I (probably) stole from Wikipedia:
Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme broadcast by BBC One since 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called the Doctor, an extraterrestrial being who appears to be human. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. With various companions, the Doctor combats foes, works to save civilisations and helps people in need.

Beginning with William Hartnell, thirteen actors have headlined the series as the Doctor, and in 2017 Jodie Whittaker became the first woman to play the role. The transition from one actor to another is written into the plot of the show with the concept of regeneration into a new incarnation, a plot device in which a Time Lord "transforms" into a new body when the current one is too badly harmed to heal normally. Each actor's portrayal is unique, but all represent stages in the life of the same character, and together, they form a single lifetime with a single narrative. The time-travelling feature of the plot means that different incarnations of the Doctor occasionally meet.

The show is a significant part of British popular culture,[2][3][4] and elsewhere it has gained a cult following. It has influenced generations of British television professionals, many of whom grew up watching the series.[5] Fans of the series are sometimes referred to as Whovians. The programme is listed in Guinness World Records as the longest-running science fiction television show in the world,[6] as well as the "most successful" science fiction series of all time, based on its overall broadcast ratings, DVD and book sales, and iTunes traffic.[7]

The programme originally ran from 1963 to 1989. There was an unsuccessful attempt to revive regular production in 1996 with a backdoor pilot, in the form of a television film titled Doctor Who. The programme was relaunched in 2005, and since then has been produced in-house by BBC Wales in Cardiff. Doctor Who has also spawned numerous spin-offs, including comic books, films, novels, audio dramas, and the television series Torchwood (2006–2011), The Sarah Jane Adventures (2007–2011), K-9 (2009–2010), and Class (2016), and has been the subject of many parodies and references in popular culture.

I mean, this marketing has made my month probably, keeping up with all the developments and the stuff like the voice mail and the billboards, I loved it so much!

As much as they've tried to kill the series for unknown reasons, I still get excited whenever anything new is announced.

It's nice to ACTUALLY have some good news about the series after several years!

The ARG was really cool but that's something to engage the fans and isn't drawing anyone outside the fandom in. And yeah an actual trailer stuff would be nice considering its 3 weeks this weekend

I just care about 2023. I'm over trying to understand Chibnall and his timeless children story.

From all the on-the-nose marketing of breaking the glass ceiling with Jodie to… nothing? I mean I thought that marketing with her first series was honestly really stupid, but it at least served its purpose and helped the show gain views. Going from all that press in the beginning to nothing is just so saddening.

I'd be fine if they cancelled series 13 lol. Thats never going to happen obviously but I really don't need Chibs breaking anymore lore. Bring on 2023 lets go RTD.

Series 13 I think is different from the last two seasons for a couple reasons. Season 11 was lack-luster, but more optimistic fans were still able to see the things it did do right and hold out for improvement in season 12. season 12 worked out differently: NO ONE defends the Timeless Child, season 12 turned everyone against Chibnall, he has no excuses anymore and season 13 is his last chance to hit the nail on the head.
I wouldn't be surprised if he screws this up too given the last two seasons, however they weren't nearly as terrible as people like Bowlestrek would have you believe (save for Orphan 13 and The Timeless Child, the latter's only saving grace was Sasha Dewan's phenomenal performance) and if any amount of backlash could get Chibnall to wake up and smell the coffee and turn things around, it would be the amount he got for The Timeless Child.

Additionally, I hear season 13 is going to take a return to a serial format which I'm actually quite looking forward to, and interested in seeing how that works out, which does give me a bit of hope.

They really know that claiming a Big Finish exclusive monsters coming in is what it takes to get me excited

One of the laziest marketing I've ever seen... All this to come back with a boring logo and a trailer where Jodie is reading a script above the camera lense.

At the very least, we've seen a shot of the new design for the Sontaran flagship.
Surprisingly rainbowy...

I think i became excited BECAUSE its ending, like, the stakes feel high when THIS is what the show looks and its losing people, but since its very clearly dead on arrival i can be morbidly curious without caring how it actually turns out. Theres nothing at stake, so im just excited to see how baffling it gets.

And they still manage to disappoint. I really dont get it. You're better off promoting and spoiling things and going "yeah its bad, but heres what you can look forward to' than going "ooooh it might be good, take our word for it" which is naturally met with "pfft i dont believe you. Maybe it IS actually nothing..."

Its one thing to have an audience who watches on morbid curiosity. Its another to just have no audience at all...because people dont love it or hate it or have anything to feel anything about.

Probably because they know just how much of a disaster these past 4 years have been, skip series 13 and give us RTD already.

Why is it impossible for Doctor Who to have good marketing. If they're not spoiling the entire season (Series 10) they're not giving us anything to get excited for. Yeah a couple name drops is cool but what about actual footage. I'm just hoping the reason for little footage pays off as another good Chiball reveal (since that's the only good thing he can)
