I used to deliver Pizzas for Dominos, I drove around in Geminis when I first got my license, now many years later, we're building my first car again but PROPERLY... maybe we'll go deliver some more when it's done!

Thank you to the people and businesses that helped with parts or expertise:

Dyno-Mite Performance and Gem Racing for helping build the engine

Extreme Clutch

Turbo Yoda

Plazmaman for the Intake Plenum and Intercooler

MTQ for the Garret G25-550 Turbo

Fenix Radiators

Songs from Moog’s album Kei to the City:

Check out the Unicorn Circuit video on @mcmtv2 that made it happen

Facts: The Gemini is known as an Opel Kadett C in Europe and a Chevette in the USA and other places. It was a General Motors ‘world car’.

My grandad passed away lastnight and he was a very intelligent man and also an engineer, he used to love watching turbo yoda and his genius with me. You 2 legends always know how to time it perfectly, thank you for always being there 💜✌🏼

One thing that I really like about MCM is they are so genuine. The friendships they have made over the years and continue to have is just amazing and says allot about these two gents. Al "Turbo Yoda" is a LEGEND and honestly is SO GOOD at what he does, to have him as a mentor would be like having Albert Einstein as your Math Tutor. He's that good. Then, Marty goes and talks to regular people that are the BEST at what they do, goes to their garage and asks for help. Having a Father and Son who builds these engines take the time out of their schedule to do this? LEGENDS. This show, I have been watching since the driveway days, has SO MANY Amazing People, to see them all come out to help MCM over the years is a testament to how the car community is not only in Australia but around the world. I for one, being from the USA, and admiring from afar not only the cars you build, but the friendships that you have made over the years. All I can say is, You Guys are Amazing, and you help so many people have a better day by just putting out a video and having these VERY SPECIAL people come on and help. All I can say is Thank You, and I SO MUCH appreciate how Humble Marty and Moog still are after all their success. Cheers to MCM and the whole car culture community from wherever you're from nothing but Respect to you all😎👍

"Why would you turbo one of these, Alan?"
"Because it's an engine"
Nice to see Al. Loving the progress on the build :)

One thing I love about MCM is that you don't have to wait years to see a full restoration! They obviously restored this Gemini over months of work but waited to launch the videos until the series was complete (well we do not know if it's complete yet of cause)❤

Marty was so proud of his FWD piston joke and no one was giving him anything! Hahaha. It’s ok mate I laughed 😂

I'm always awe struck by engine builders who try to produce the "perfect" engine (i.e. to exact spec). Those guys built a stunning engine - measure, grind polish to perfection.

Alan's smile when talking about turbocharging stuff is just wholesome 😄

I love Alan's enthusiastic nod when Marty exclaims they will be drinking beer and staring at pictures of the car later!

"Why would you turbo this?"

"Because it's an engine."

The deadpan delivery had me in stitches. Love you, Alan!

Alan is so calm, he oozes, absolutely OOZES confidence.
"This will work - wonderfully. Trust me, let me show you the path"
I was scared for the front right there. Happy you gave it back for a paint refresh.
Aussie Car culture - at its finest.

The amount of planning that went it to this build is awesome. Just watching and knowing how long ago Marty picked up this car, until the build series started was a long time. Now it’s evident why it took so long. So much prep, and planning will make for an awesome car that I hope, he keeps forever.

I do love that across Australia (and the world?), regardless of how specialist the shop is, the universal tool for knocking pistons in is the handle of the mallet.

the high speed shot of the crank grinding was super cool. that manifold's symmetry is pleasing

That blue liberty looks nice. Marty is full blown going back his roots. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. 😅

I can not express enough how pure MCM is in this new space of automotive YouTube. We like watching cool people build cool cars even if it’s low horsepower, it’s about the build not the HP. Not about super cars, or “how much HP an actual horse has” or “how much HP can we make out of one car. Keep up the fantastic work boys!!
