It’s very telling to me that Kobe stands up for Michael and he is the only other Black man on the show. Truly if what was happening to Michael was happening to an American woman or a white woman I don’t believe that anyone on TLC, cast members included, would let it continue for this long. Good on Kobe for being the only one to actually stick up for him to Angela’s face, but wow it’s sad the way that Black men are devalued so tangibly in our society.
