20th-century composers: tonal music has nothing more to offer, we are moving on to atonal music

Did you end up making a lead sheet for this, so if we wanted to learn this we could just play off of chord symbols?

Edit: Sorry, that sounds rude lol. I appreciate how much time and effort you put into this, thanks you so much for the wonderful work June!

There’s a cool ‘mirror chord’ at the end of bar 24 in the Rhodes. Left and right hand intervals mirror each other. see also Vincent Persichetti, Adam Neely, etc.

Definitely the most beautiful, tender track on Djesse vol. 1. My new favorite track by Jacob in this stylistic vein, beating out hideaway.

Amazing job June. I hope you didn’t pseudo-drown any giraffes by submerging them up to the point where their head is the only thing sticking out of the water during production of this video.

is there a reason you didn’t add chord symbols like you said you might do during the livestream?

I'm still bewildered that Jacob can make such dense and seemingly dissonant chords sound so beautiful

this song (especially ending outro) gave me such a warm feeling of nostalgia. I love Ridgewood so much
