Add me to the group of thankful people who had no idea how to remove that plate. Saved me blood sweat and tears and likely damaging something. I had a little screw under the right pusher I had to remove, but other than that, the slide to the left was the key.

On some models you first have to remove a small screw!!
Press the right flusher and you can see a small screw in the right side.
