A simple but true quintessential Top Gear episode here. Lots of laughes, zany antics, but with a quite wistful and emotional bit right at the end. And one challenge when the trio all surprisingly didnt argue with each other once the whole way through. This right here, perfectly summed up why this version of Top Gear worked so brilliantly.

As someone who loves and owns TVRs, I cried at the end. That factory is where my 2 Chimaeras started their existence. 27 years on, they're still on the road. But the factory is gone.
My son's first TVR was an S2 and he has valeted that very S2 in the film. Since then, he's had (I think) an S2, 2 Cerberas and at least 4 Chimaeras.
And he, like me, has loved every single one of them.
RIP TVR.

The only TopGear episode i actually got to see Live, not in the studio, but as they drove down Warbreck Hill Road in Blackpool and past a very young me walking home from Secondary School. Told all my mates and not a single one believed me until this aired! Nothing beats Classic TopGear - Fond memories indeed.

Has anyone seen that very recent video of James and Hammond revisiting the old Top Gear production office? It totally reminded me of when the lads visit the abandoned TVR factory in this episode. The parallels are uncanny and also rather sad. ☹

Somebody's Grandpa probably worked in 1 of those factories and it was enough to raise 5 kids and buy a house in the suburbs... Boy look at us now, can't even afford to rent an apartment with a degree lol

The TVR factory is at the end of the road i live on :)
It's now several different units, from a garage to a printers and so on.
Rather sad really, the old factory is no more, the body parts were there for years before they converted it.

You know, I'm starting to think these tests may be a bit biased. I can't believe Top Gear would sacrifice their impeccable reputation like this.
