I got the 8GB version over the holidays for just under $300, it came with the stylus too! So far it does everything I wanted it to, web browsing, video stream, reading but I love being able to use the desktop version of chrome for certain websites or document and spreadsheet viewing for minor work.

Just got this from Best Buy, open box, in excellent condition for $133. (4GB/128GB) I paid $139 for a Tab M11 just a couple of weeks ago!!! This duet is in mint condition, I thought it was brand new for a second. Battery had one charge cycle. The charger wasn't even touched. Thanks for the awesome reviews!

the only bit of research you didn't mention was the end of life policy
Chromebook Duet Jun 2028, ,, original
Chromebook Duet 3 Jun 2030, , so that's an update every month, , for 8 years
((when buying a Chromebook always check how many years left for updates))

We always see a lot of Windows tablets but very few ChromeOS tablet, so it's great to see Lenovo made one. But because of ARM chipset, I can install Andronix on Android smartphones. So despite me liking this tablet a lot, I'm still struggling about the idea of buying one.

Thanks for such an in depth review, been looking at getting this for my son for xmas for school, his school uses alot of android apps for homework so this would be really ideal.

5 months later, my thoughts: I absolutely love it! It's surprisingly super fast, I use it for browsing, college (with a stylus for drawings). The keyboard, although it takes a bit to get used to at first because it's small, is super fast! This takes me back to a Dell I had that was Tablet/Windows but that one had hard, fixed connections from screen to keyboard and it snapped/broke off. That's the smart thing about this Lenovo that the connection is a fabric that can bend, so if it snaps off accidentally it won't break and the magnets are strong where it aligns them up for you automatically. I play some games on it every now and then and it does well with that too. The stand that it comes with is so convenient. The screen is daunting and crystal clear! I'd say the only thing I didn't like is that there is only USB-C connections, no audio headphone jack but this thing is a force. My family also but same exact one and they love it too.

Quick tip: If you want to get the best battery life out of any Chromebook including the Duet 3, turn off Android apps, turn on energy saver in Chrome settings, and turn off bluetooth.

Turning off Android apps will also improve performance. If you are like me and you find that you are not using any Android apps on your Chromebook, you should probably turn them off.

the first to go will be the flex connecting the tablet and the keyboard.

Hi! Thank you for amazing review. Could you help with one issue? After I applied paper screen protector designed for this tablet, tip of my stylus that was provided with tablet started to rub off significantly. Now Idk wether to change tip (if it is even possible) or to buy (some kind of) new stylus (best option would be some different stylus with possibility to change tip).

I love your videos. It helps a lot. What do you think to compare Chromebook v.s. Samsung DEX enabled tablets such as s8?

Thank you for the review! It convinced me to go with this choice and I was really looking forward to the Lenovo Chromebook 3!!! However, the company has the worst customer service, which I now see looking at the reviews. They even shut off comments on their FB page. I think the product looks great, but always remember too look at the company's rep. I had to cancel my order due the "waiting to be shipped" purgatory for the longest time. I'm glad I did because the reviews are very concerning and exceptional delays are very common.

I do find the duets a little frustrating. They should do a "pro" version with some better specs and it would be perfect.

No headphone jack. Solutions: USB C => speaker jack (I prefer the very inexpensive versions from Google Pixel and Apple; Apple is easier to find) or USB C wired earbuds. I use the $19 Apple EarPods with C connector, great sound and great microphone for calls.
