gentoo man! how does downloading shit on gentoo work?
like on arch its "sudo pacman -S yada yada"
but on gentoo do you have to get the source for everything and compile it for every package?

i'm considering the switch from arch to gentoo, but if i have to compile every single package source everytime i need something new instead of getting it from repos, it would take time i don't really have :(
