Mike Lofgren, a congressional staff member for 28 years, joins Bill Moyers to talk about what he calls Washington's "Deep State," in which elected and unelected figures collude to protect and serve powerful vested interests. "It is how we had deregulation, financialization of the economy, the Wall Street bust, the erosion or our civil liberties and perpetual war," Lofgren tells Moyers.

Moyers shows us how an interview is done, raises your IQ and Mr. Lofgren makes you ashamed of your own language skills and logic. What an amazing interview, wish there was more of this today to bring us more together with intelligence than hate

A drama free and calm discussion of a highly disturbing topic, about a systemic dynamic in our society that is ultimately destroying the 99%. The manner in which Bill Moyers and Mike Lofgren interact is not only calm, but also calming and relaxing to listen to. And, yet, they are describing a dire situation. I like their lack of drama, and outrage, that others discussing such a topic might exhibit. I like their cool calm logic. They exude honesty and integrity. If the affairs of the world were conducted in such a manner we would be in a much better place today in June 2020.
