Board Snapped & Stuck On Reef (Opening Scene) – Uluwatu

When you snap a board, swimming to shore is only part of the challenge on a day like this.

With only half a board - that’s more a hinderance than anything - you can’t expect to choose exactly where you want to come to shore or time it as well as when you’re paddling a board.

The guy at the start of the video did a good job considering the position he was in, but I imagine he would have copped a few slices to his feet.

Glad he managed to get free at the start but we were at Uluwatu yesterday and the board is there still... Could have taken it home or disposed correctly, surfers need to help protect our playground
