We need a new wave of intellectuals in the spirit of Zinn and Chomsky.

A truly great American, a decent man, courageous and ethical, a moral human being.

One of the great moments in TV history. I am really happy to see this uploaded. David Silver got fired for having Howard Zinn give this talk on his show What's Happening My Silver. Zinn and Chomsky had a long relationship going back to 1965 when a delegation from the Boston area sent to observe and report on the situation in Jackson, Mississippi, where many Black people and members of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) were being arrested. This interview is understood as the first openly anti-war TV commentary, and deserves its own spotlight.

If this is from 1968, Zinn was 46, very much middle-aged. He sure looks younger, but he was born in 1922.

What would Howard Zinn be doing if he were alive today?

Scratching at the lid of his coffin.
