The added Addition of the camera being able to shoot at. Dng raw file @ 14 mp, is a real plus in my opinion. In the past, you could shoot video, but the phantoms weren't strong enough to lift a digital SLR. Adding to the gimble system, makes this unit a feasible step forward in UAV tech!

I've had this for about five months and it's great. With the permission of my 4YO daughter, I've hung a barbie doll from it to test the weight carrying ability, a few "My little ponys" as well as a safety strobe to see what else it can fit under the housing. Granted the flight is a bit sketchy, however, the onboard CPU adjusts pretty good once you're under way.

Hello I recently was informed by another phantom owner about the Satellite connection issue .. The issue was that I was only getting 5 satellites I was the only one attempting to fly but I couldn't fly due to this issue I stayed grounded . My friend got his and he had 11 satellites on his phantom 2 . He later told me a lot of vision + owners has this issue as well . And the fix is to apply foil paper inside the phantom 2 vision + . This does not sound right to me, I paid just about 1500$ to open it up and apply tin foil and tape to it . I recently got the phantom and only flew it three times. Is this method recommended ?Please advice .. Thank you

I have the Phantom 2 Vision and love it.   Long battery life and great video and pics.  Had a few people not to happy with me flying it over them, but they soon got over it.  A police officer sat with me while I flew it, he was amazed and loved it.  You truly have to be very careful and definitely use comment sense when flying it.  I never go too high, because it is very easy to lose sight of it.  But all in all, the best purchased toy I've ever gotten.

We will b using this drone on The Alaska Gold Project which will be taking place this summer around Juneau, Alaska.  It will be a group of individuals taking helicopters out to remote regions and camping for days at a time looking for gold.  We will be bringing one of these drones along as a tool to check out quartz veins on mountain faces and scout up and down streams for honey holes.  You will be able to see first hand exactly how effective this drone can be!

I've seen several videos on tis bird, and want one. QUESTION: I've noticed the FPV screen showing distance, altitude, etc frequently shows several feet of altitude when the Phantom Vision is ON THE GROUND. This is after it has obtained its satellite lock, etc. What is that about? Where do those altitude numbers come from? It seems that would be a safety issue if the readout said you were several feet above the ground and you were really about to impact the ground. I've never seen anyone answer that question.

I own it since 4 months now, many and many flights without problems at all. really steady video and quality pictures.
if use they'r lens correction profile for Photoshop then you got stunning professional areal picture

A grand is a bit much though. I would not mind getting the DJI Pantheon 1 if the battery did not only last 12 mins... Can you upgrade the battery pack for the Phantom 1 to last at least 20 mins? Also, how much does he FPV gear cost if you buy it separately?

Hey there, I was wondering how compatible the Phantom 2 is with a iPod Touch 5
I don't own a iPhone or Smart phone but do have a 5 generation ipod touch
And if I did buy the DJI Phantom 2 PLUS does this include a power supply and case . I can't see what the quad copter actually comes complete with or need to buy ?
I'm trying to figure the actual "TOTAL" price involved to owning one

like flying around and then move the go pro under the drone ??
