Former President Donald Trump told donors he "would have bombed" Moscow and Beijing if they had attacked Ukraine and Taiwan on his watch. The Washington Post reported that Trump, stated this during a meeting with some of the country’s top donors at a luxurious New York hotel. According to donors, advisers, and others close to him, Trump has intensified his fundraising rhetoric ahead of the November elections. The former president routinely claims that Russia and China would be cowed into submission with himself in office. Trump claimed, despite Russian denial, that WSJ reporter Evan Gershkovich, held in Russia on dubious espionage charges, would be released if he is elected.
