Milwaukee M18 High Torque Wrench vs M12 Stubby

YES, I KNOW THOSE ARE TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT TOOLS. I JUST WANTED TO SEE HOW MUCH FASTER WILL THE BIG BROTHER BREAK THE SAME BOLT. 😂

Ok, now without yelling. :D Just a quick clip from my phone, just for fun – to see how much faster is a the older high torque M18 against the Stubby (with a small 1.5Ah battery – so the worst possible combo for the small guy, I know).

Same bolt (caliper bracket on Dodge Caravan, not that it matters) on different sides of the car: M12 Stubby with 1.5 Ah battery (it did loosen it, I just noticed that later on the video, so its cut off) vs. the big M18 High Torque Wrench with 5 Ah battery.

And I say this again last time, because I can already see the comments coming: This clearly IS NOT and wasn't supposed to be a fair comparison (like if the Stubby had 4.0 or 6.0, it would be probably a lot faster with the Stubby too), I just thought it was just kinda fun to see how much more raw power there is in the high torque. Thanks to all those who get it. I otherwise absolutely love the M12 Stubby.

250ftlb vs 1400ftlb. Pretty even match

I love the stubby with the 5.0 high output and the 6.0 battery. M18 is such a unit in ome hand

Using the right tool for the job is crucial.
I just ordered the mid torque Milwaukee, but might end up getting the stubby or right angle impact eventually for tighter areas.

Smh put a 6.0 battery on that stubby and will outperform alot of 18 volts out there

I just want to say that, if you’re looking for that torque range, I think there are some better options.
Unless you have big hands, the ergonomics of the m12 line is not going to be super comfortable.
The 12v Dewalt and the Ridgid subcompact have the same torque rating, but better ergonomics.

Love the stubby! Anything needing more of a beating gets my air impact that will twist the anvil off battery powered clickers.

the m12 was starting to spin it when you gave up. it would have got the nut off. even faster with a bigger battery.
