US video games focus on historical accuracy

A new installment of a blockbuster video game claims to be historically accurate.

The developers of Call of Duty: World War II say historians were consulted closely during the game's development, so that as players engage in battle, they also learn from the past.

It's a trend being followed by more and more video game makers in the US.

Al Jazeera's Shihab Rattansi reports from Washington, DC.

Every video games and films based on historical events are historical inaccurate. But they are fun.

Slavery on video games? I thought we already have that in Rome total war. Enslaving is better than putting an entire army to the blade.

Broad and frankly amateur generalisation in the title. Very little research done and coverage pertains to a singular narrative, thus making the content overly-biased.

On the plus side, never thought I'd see CoD on Al Jazeera in my late 20's.
