Hey Joe, I really felt for you and the commenter while watching this post. Yes it's ranty which you shouldn't feel the need to do, but you do also make good points. I'm a newbie, I've been working on getting going since March, and from when I first started to now, I have felt huge frustration, learned an enormous amount, wanted to give up, and worked on my store countless countless hours. I think it's a process. When you first said about making a good shop I thought that I had, and no results, but then I kept going and saw that my first shop was absolutely shocking😅. But if I didn't fail and make so many mistakes I wouldn't have learned anything and it's now a new little business I'm learning how to grow, and your videos have been very helpful. Try not to get too wound up by people going through their process of frustration, that may be all it is 😊

Hey Joe- Your comments are spot on. We never believed you were telling us about a get-rich-quick scheme, and for those that believed that it just shows their laziness and business immaturity. I'm new to the POD market but not new to art and design. My products will become winners. It's just a matter of planning and strategizing properly. yes makes sense. The barrier of entry is typically so low that I think it distorts the way people view making money online. It goes one of two ways: 1 people think it is a "passive" way to "get rich quick OR its a "scam" and "too good to be true. Of course, neither is accurate.

Typical "tough love" from Joe. I appreciate it. He's one of the few YT marketers who tells it like it is, not how it can be. If you put the work in, be smart with your marketing/strategy, invest time/money, you will have success in POD. Sounds like most businesses. Not complicated.

My strategy to succeed at this is to make it a real business. I even have a business plan written up. This is not going to be a "get rich quick scheme" or a "hobby" or part time for me. I want this to be my job, my career, where I will actually pay myself a (hopefully really large) salary (and dividends) and put profits back in to the business to make it grow, so that I can live the life that I want. Just my two cents. :) I'm going to continue watching the video now, that person's comment just got my feathers ruffled a bit. lol

Love your videos Joe!! I see most t-shirt shops on Etsy price their t-shirts at $21 including shipping… Now at a $21 price point including shipping, May I know how much profit per t-shirt this seller would be making approximately? If I use a POD partner like printify, May I know how should I price my t-shirt so that I get a $5 net profit per t-shirt sold?

Man i got my first order and ended up losing money on it its sad and i feel frustrated i set profit mrgin to 70% on printify so i can sell it for 13$ and today the order was shiped and it cost 22$ so i lost and i dont know how to make it profitable cuz a tshirt over 22$ is not worth it and no one gonna buy
