Marriage vs. The Red Pill – Is Marriage Still Worth it?

Is marriage worth it for men today? That’s the question we’ve been trying to answer for the last few weeks. Liz Wheeler said it was, and listed some religious reasons for why – but I wanted to get to the heart of it for today’s men, and that is The Red Pill movement. Are marriage laws horribly biased towards women (especially in a potential split)? Is it just too dangerous for men to get married? Is there anything to the arguments some Red Pilled men make regarding women? I decided to discuss with Richard Cooper – known for his YouTube channel “Entrepreneurs In Cars” – and for his book “The Unplugged Alpha: The No Bullsh*t Guide to Winning with Women & Life” to find out. I don’t necessarily agree with a bunch of Richard’s points, but we can find common ground on the issue of Feminism – and how’s it’s toxic ideology today has hurt many women, and also men too. Feminism has spread the idea that in order for a woman to be empowered, that have to act like a stereotypical male – a male who isn’t necessarily a good person to boot. This makes nobody happy. Take a look at this interesting discussion between a married man who espouses the joys of the institution, and a red-pilled man who cautions people against the idea of marriage.

Discarded from Amazon's streaming service during Black History month (while Amazon was “amplifying black voices” all over their site), Created Equal is the true and controversial story of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Born poor in the segregated south, Thomas, a conservative, became one of the most influential justices despite attempts to smear his character during his confirmation. And while his voice can no longer be heard on Amazon, it can be here: at The Daily Wire.

Men are so important. As a society we have disregarded their importance.

One thing that I think wasn't talked about more was how divorce has affected the current generation.

If Klavan grew out his beard some more and hit the gym these two would be indistinguishable.

The only thing marriage guarantees a man is a trip to court if she decides to end the marriage.

A “family” court in which the “judge” is simply a woman’s advocate, and together they decide how your money should be divided.

Marriage, as a concept, never failed us. Tragically, it is often twisted into something it was never meant to be. Expecting life-long commitment from the wrong person, or a person you don't truly know, will. Know your partners; it takes years of patience, experience, and enduring rough patches. Seeing each other at their worst. Then and only then will you know if its worth it or not.

The depictions of men especially father characters in modern entertainment are predominantly negative. Our children watch shows where the dad is played as an aloof idiot. Then they listen to pop songs celebrating independent women not needing a man.

After the past 48 years with my wife, I can honestly state that I have become a far better person due to her influence and friendship. Everybody said we were too young, and didn't know what we were doing, etc. Funny how they are all dead now, and we're still best friends.

The wrought of the Sexual Revolution. SADLY! However, the situation of marriage in our society proves the Biblical traditional morality is WAY much better.

MGTOW isn't about sulking... on the contrary, these are guys who've decided that they
are the most important person in their lives, and focus on achieving goals and enjoying
the freedom that supreme autonomy affords them.

I follow both you and Richard Cooper. Until the courts treat fathers and husbands fairly, the answer is no

This guy nails it ! Any guy worth his salt seeks wants a Proverbs 31 woman! He will protect support and love her till his last breath. That’s what most women don’t understand in today’s society.

Marriage is still worth it if your man is a traditional man. And a woman is still a traditional woman. A traditional marriage is a beautiful thing.

Sad this guy makes sense in today's world. Women would always complain about the double standard in regards to promiscuity. But only other men applauded a high count and to be honest no guys I've ever been friends with even gave a damn how many girls the other could get. Now women get to have their high count and shouldn't be surprised men don't like it . Its like they gotta make up for stuff that happened before they even were born.

Typical - lets throw God completely out of our lives and then blame the result on everything else.

Once again a trad con misses the point of the MGTOW philosophy.

Pastor Klavan, you might as well have interviewed a PUA or a fellow trad on the subject.

What info we're you expecting your audience to glean from this interview?

Interview Paul Elam, coltaine, TFM, Joker, Coach Greg Adams, Popp...
if you're looking for a no BS fearless interview on the topic of modern women, men, and their roles in society.

And even when one of the root causes of men's suffering is brought up, you gloss over it.

"Female first doesn't resonate with me"

Explains broken one-sided family courts/laws...

"Crickets"

guess we'll just move on...?

Women changed.

That's it. They are not what they use to. So older gents be happy that you lived in a normal times. But times are not normal anymore.

Modern women are not worth it.

I am fan and subscriber of Andrew Klavan and the Daily Wire; As well Richard Cooper. His book, the unplugged alpha, is essential reading for all men, in my opinion. Together, these guys have truly given me insight into navigating and pushing back against the “Woke” lies about relationships between men and women
