Why the hell do people WANT this thing to fail. I'm not even going to say if I'm impressed, or disappointed, or anything, all I'm going to say is, I want this to succeed. I want gaming to become what it was when I was younger. Fun. Not shouting at people for liking a brick with some tech bits inside it more than another brick with tech bits inside it. Or whining because a lump of pixels and polygons doesn't move a frame faster as another lump of pixels and polygons. Why can't people just look at something and say, "If this does well, people will be happy, and gaming as a whole will benefit, "
This tangent kinda verged off the Switch and onto gaming as a whole, and no one's gonna read it cause of the avalanche of other comments, but all I'm saying is, let's just stop being so negative. Even if it looks bad, don't insult those who support it, and even if it looks good, don't hate those who disagree.
No one's going to read this. Who cares.

The only reason The Switch has so much doubt is cuz of the WiiU. Which is kind of unfair, cuz it's not like Sony/Microsoft haven't had garbage systems in the past.

Good news is, most of the “gimmicks” here weren’t use as gimmicks, but rather features in some games that helped there (motion controls in Splatoon 2, touch controls in Mario maker 2)

I know that one very big source of disappointment is the announcement of the "rental" feature of the new online service, but I'm choosing not to comment on that until we know more. I've got to know everything we're getting and how much the service will be before I can make a decision.

People seem to be more focused on shitting on it than seeing what it has. Your getting Zelda, Splatoon 2, Arms and Mario Odyyssey in the first year. What did PS4 have? KNACK!?

... And that's just what we know right now in January! So sick of people saying this is a poor launch window! This is one of Nintendos best launch windows.

Why are you sleeping on ARMS? Why is EVERYONE sleeping on arms? Because its motion controlled and people dont like moving their fat little arms? Well, good news to you, its NOT EXCLUSIVE to motion controls, you can play it without them. This game looks crazy hype, yet people are just so scared of something new. Every switch game announced looked incredible.
