U.S Air Force Association’s Air, Space, & Cyber Conference, Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall has stated that five B-21 Raiders are now taking shape at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, California.

Viewers may note that the secure facility is three million square feet of industrial space and is near Edwards Air Force Base.

These aircraft are part of the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) batch, funded under the Long-Range Strike-Bomber (LRS-B) contract.
The prototypes are at various stages of production.

In this video, Defense Updates analyzes how the B-21 Raider touted to be the world's most lethal bomber is shaping up?

The US makes the best aircraft by far, can't wait to see the B21, RQ180(UAV B2), and so much more to come.

"Viewers may note", I love it!

I’m eager to see this and the 6th gen fighter. I’m also hoping we don’t hear about China getting its hands on some of it.

I am not at all surprised that B-21 is now being built just several years from project announcement. I always thought that the US already did the learnings from B-2, did the needed research on how to upgrade capabilities of B2 for a long while and just like the B2 has been under wraps and only publicly acknowledged years after IOC.

I can already think of two “quick” and “easy” upgrades (1) snapping on new powerful, efficient and cooler engines is already as step up. (2) New stealth coatings has been “ready” for quite a while.

Excited to get more hard info about B21 and even more excited at how US adversaries would crap their pants. 🙂

I'm hearing real positive things about the B-21...apparantly it's leap year's better than the B-2, if that's the case, this is a game changer!

B-1s can carry up to 31 mach 20 AGM-183As.

These will also be carried by B-21s.

Russian and Chinese S-400s/S-500s are about to become obsolete.

Fortunately, the 149 B-21 buy won't be cut like the planned 132 B-2s were down to just 21.

Hey you know how US intends to share their military tech with the Aussies? Think we could do with a few of these please!

It's good to know that the B-21 program is on schedule. It appears that Northrop can build them five at a time so it wouldn't take more than a few years to get up to to 145 aircraft.

Neither Russia nor China “have been able to grasp stealth technology…” I love it! But if you listen to the anti-Americans on YT, the enemies have the best. Yeah, right. China can’t make a stealthy sub, down in the dark depths, so how could they possibly make a stealth aircraft, even WITH stolen technology. 😂

If you can keep the B-52 flying for 80+ years, you can keep the B-1 and B-2 going for just as long. Add another 200 B-21s to the fleet and that will be an unbeatable force.

This aircraft is going to be revolutionary. It’s defenses will be far more than excellent stealth. It will no doubt be equipped with the same or improved sensory and communication suite that makes the F-35 so dangerous. I also expect it to be the first aircraft equipped with the SHiEld laser defense system, allowing it to effectively down incoming anti aircraft missiles and perhaps even fighters.
As such a weapon would not need the plane to turn to aquire its target, this could potentially sweep enemy fighters out of the sky the way that the B-17 and B-24 did in WWII.

When the B-21 opens its bomb bay doors, is stealth compromised? This is true for other stealth aircraft. Will tactics in contested airspace require approaching the bomb/missile's limits of range, releasing payload then high-tailing it to an area outside the range of missile defenses? Or, will B-21 be able to loiter in contested airspace?

this planes radar signature would like the size of a packet of smokes i reckon

Sending in large stealth drones (with internal weapon bays) might be much less expensive and much less risky than billion dollar manned bombers. The Raider might be more or less obsolete as soon as it enters service.

I’m about 3 miles from Plant 42 at the moment. Best keep my eyes up and open.

I bet it's on another level with no bomb bay doors, just silos like a submarine:)

We need the Klingon cloaking device !!!! She's a bird of Prey !
If they mothball all the B-52s and B-1 bombers they can afford a full fleet of B-21s.
