Storage box under seat for straps and tools would be nice

If you do it right it will still lock in place and will only be able to fold if you lift the bottom part of the seat since it makes the top half rise up

Ok I have an 04... but I can't really see a use for this. Becsuse there isn't a while lot of room behind the seat. And you could just put things on the seat if you need to.

You can also squeeze a small mattress sideways back there

I would replace the back seat with a front seat if you wanna go this route.
I carry some bulky items that cannot get wet as i dont have a cap on back.
Hopefully i can build a better storage box on back. IDK.
This way of cutting the retention bar is not ideal or practical without a lock mechanism i.m.h.o.

I've got an 08 "Shelby" silverado and my factory seat works just as good as my factory stereo. I don't see any reason to fix what isn't broken.

The cable is to anchor the seat . Child seats use the points on the back of the cab.

Hey I got a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD regular cab there is a center seat that doesn't fold down.
I wish you would make a video on how to get that to go up and down so there's kind of like a center console😂

So when you do this the seat isnt locked in the upright position anymore you don't think that is dangerous for people riding in the back seat
