President Joe Biden said the U.S. commitment to the archipelago is "ironclad" amid enhanced military cooperation resulting in the Philippines granting the U.S. access to four more military bases. Set SEATO back up! Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, the Philippines, and the USA. Or expand QUAD. Only Australia, Japan, India and the USA are members at the moment. I understand South Korea wants too join, and they should be let in. I hope New Zealand and some of the ASEAN countries join as well. This should check Chinas growing power in the Far East and the Pacific Ocean.

Estimates of the alleged ill-gotten wealth of the Marcos family vary, with most sources accepting a figure of about US$5–10 billion, the bulk is in the US, Marcoses family had: fifteen bank accounts that had secretly opened in the US under assumed names; 40 Wall Street, one of four Manhattan buildings purchased in the early 1980s. Do you think Bongbong Marcos will put Pilipino national interest ahead of his own/family?
