Tested: Is 4WD better than 2WD?

A fairly easy test for AWD. The thing most people don't mention when talking about AWD is some of the fastest cars in the world have AWD (Veyron, 918, Huracan etc), and that ain't because they're designed to go in the snow. AWD simply gives more control and better handling. AWD is just better even in the dry.

Of course, if you want to have fun and do powerslides then it's different. But I'd go so far as to say AWD is an overlooked safety issue as far as every day driving is concerned. It could make a difference in some instances.

If you had Cooper at3s like I do on my 2014 Honda Odyssey then front wheel drive can get through mud or bf ko2s could work also.

4x4 lock on xtrails cuts out at 40kph and reverts back to AWD mode by itself. So that 50mph is bs. Same system as in the t31. I have a t31 and took it down a paddock and 40kph is a lot faster than you’d think off road.
