Google actually didn't get rid of the swipe feature. It's still baked in there. I have that enabled on my Pixel 6 Pro. It's under the gesture settings.

PSA - Don't change the Developer Option 'Animator duration scale'. There's a bug that causes the fingerprint icon (and battery percent) to not appear on the Always On Display if you change it to less than 1x. And when it's not there you need to wake the screen to use the fingerprint sensor. The other two animation settings don't seem to affect it.

This is FREAKING AWESOME. Thank I'm getting my first look at Android 12 when my Pixel 6 gets here and I've been worrying about the battery stuff, but now the vids are coming out like yours that say - wait - not so fast, just make some adjustments. I'm leaving my Samsung Galaxy 8 in the dust. Excited. Can't wait. Been watching videos about them and Fi now for three years. Sub'd. Are you available for miscellaneous questions if I get stumped??? Some carriers don't allow you disable 5G in SIM settings. You'll need use diagnostic mode or the dialer to access the secret menu to adjust carrier settings. Some posts on Reddit give you the number to dial. YouTube keeps deleting it when I post it so you'll have to search for it.

This video is well done. I'm 67 and I was able to follow everything you said. I have 2 phones. One IPhone 12-pro and Galaxy 20 note ultra. I like android so I just ordered a pixel 6 pro and this will be alot of help. Just subscribed.

The dark mode isnt a true black like it used to be. Now it's more of a dark grey.

In Security, it is green checked as On, however it is not enabled in Device Admin apps and I do not have the app downloaded to the phone from the Google Play Store. Is it actually on? A bit confusing that it is green checked in Security in Settings but not enabled in Device Admin apps even though it shows up in the list. Thanks if you know the answer.]

When you turn on developer options, the phone build number appears in the quick settings drawer. Is there a way to make that disappear without turning off developer options?

Helpful, thanks. I restricted many apps, but then when turning off mobile data for them it restricted them anyway, so might as well just turn off data to save you going through the restrict part first?

A heads up that many people are reporting disabling 120hz and locking to 60hz for some reason is less battery conservative on the current android build.
