How To Test Audio and Video Settings Before A Microsoft Teams Meeting!

Stop joining a Teams Meeting with the improper gear or a disconnected camera! (please note, this does not apply to the free version of Teams).

In this video we'll show you how to QUICKLY perform a test call to make sure all your settings are good to go!

This Microsoft Teams test call will check everything you need to have a smooth meeting experience: your microphone, audio output (speaker/headphones) your camera, and your network connection.

Type "/testcall" in the search bar of Microsoft Teams to easily perform a test.

You can also make a test call by going into your profile, settings, devices, and then select "Make Test Call" but who has time for that?

Doesn't work on the free desktop app. There is absolutely no option to test your audio and video. There is no option to make a test call under settings>devices. That is, there is no way at all to test if your devices are working before starting a meeting. Bizarre.

Typical Microsoft: this just doesn't work in current web teams. Typing /testcall yields "no matches found for your request". The continuous integration on current MS products is very much "Continous Breakage" of stuff that worked before. Even worse than with Google, who have been practicing continuous breakage for years now.

Any idea how to see the video of yourself in a test call to ensure that your audio and video are synced correctly?

I am in teams I type /testcall and hit enter and nothing happens, I go to my initials in the coloured disc go settings there is no device settings for mic, . so far today its taken 5 hrs to try and make mic work. it will record to pc, its using a top range audio card X Fi elite pro creative labs, works every time but give it this Microsoft teams thing and fail. Msoft havent allowed for high end mic setup I presume. also all tuts are for win10 I am win 7 using browser for teams again its no doubt all different and hasnt allowed for browser version. NIGHTMARE.

It pisses me off that interviews are most often conducted via Teams, and we all have this stress of how to participate in a Teams call. It is NOT for civilians (individuals on personal devices)

That is not a real bandwith test! Only a short audio-file was sent. What I need is a real 5 min. test-video-call with log term measuring bandwith, download-/uploadwith within MS Teams and a downloadable video-file of my own video in the call as ist was seenable for all other members.
