I don’t understand the “going to improve over time” arguments. This thing costs $700 + a $24/month subscription. They had 6 years and $230, 000, 000 to develop their product and their Ai assistant shipped without the ability to *set a timer.* I’m glad it failed spectacularly.

As a consumer, the reviews are helpful. They don’t focus on just 2 things, they talk about a wide variety issues, from the battery, to the utility vs a phone, to the usability, to the subscrition model. This does nothing that we as consumers need. I can literally do everything this pin does with my phone, and as they pointed out, the pin requires me to use my hands, which at that point, I might as well save my $700 and $24 a month and use my much more useful cell phone

Unethical YouTubers? Personally the 700$ asking price alongside the 25$ p/m charge just to use a projector with an internet connection is the real unethical practice.

It can’t do anything that a smartphone can do better, so why do I need a paperweight when my pocket is full? Once Apple, Google, and Samsung implement their AI on devices, Humane and Rabbit R1 will struggle to compete. These companies should have been an app rather than a hardware.

Feedback is a gift. The company released a bad product, and it flopped. They did not kill it. As other people said, reviews are helpful to the consumer. If a product is just plain bad, reviewers will talk about it. It hurts the company, because they might just lost a customer, but if the reviews wouldn't exist, people would just sent the product back for refund anyway.

The fact that these models will improve in the future is not an excuse or justification for shielding a company from criticism for a product that is compromised right now. They are the ones making it, and they decided this is the state that it is ready for people to judge it on and drop hundreds of dollars on to acquire. The shortcomings that decision brings should absolutely be highlighted and scrutinised, people should not be expected to tiptoe around glaring usability issues because of the promise the future might hold for it.

These big check influencers with millions of followers actually have personal relationships with the guys that make the humane ai pin and they still trashed it. And they also benefit from increased consumption and affiliate links so it's in their interest to shill this product and they still felt the need to trash it.

They just can't risk their brand, which at the highest levels of YouTube has a lot of value, on such a bad product especially if it ends up closing its cloud servers down in the next couple years and leaving people with a bunch of expensive e-waste

Iam only partially agree with the video, if I pay 700 dollars and subscription 24 dollars a month on top I am sorry but I am expecting a fully working and with bugs fixed. Marques has point in my eyes. Lowiering standard of reviews we end with extremely expensive products like apple iPhone that break in half apple gate or horrible keyboard in macs and excellent reviews. That is why I watch Marques videos in first plays

Well, it seems more like a late stage prototype than a first gen product, which, not to forget, costs a whoppong $700 + monthly subscription to use. Maybe make something that IS worth using in any scenario eh. For now, its really not good at ANYTHING it offers, and that is the harsh truth.

From the moment you mention that you DID NOT try the AI pin I stopped listening
