Показать описание
Today’s video is about mastering hydroponic strawberries farming, modern agriculture, and growing strawberries hydroponically. M. S. Karla García discusses hydroponic strawberry production and all you need to know to grow them in the greenhouse.
Welcome to a new class in Horton Americas TV. Today we are going to learn about strawberries. In this quick video, we'll learn the key aspects to grow tasty strawberries. First, we need to accept the fact that strawberries are not an easy crop. In order to get good yield and fruit quality, we need to work a lot on key variables, like the environment, the root zone, and nutrients.
Let's start with the environment, including temperature and humidity. A strawberry crop is very sensitive to different variables, even including light, but let's focus for now on temperature and humidity. The humidity variable is related to pest incidents and also nutrient uptake. Low humidity levels can trigger pest incidents, including the strawberry moss spider mites. In order to avoid this pest, you need to maintain night and daytime humidity levels within the recommended numbers. Also, calcium deficiency is something that you can find when you grow strawberries in low humidity levels.
When growing strawberries hydroponically, all of the materials that will be utilized to generate the harvest must be carefully chosen. The troughs in which the plants will be grown are the first step. Strawberries require a minimum of 2 liters of substrate per plant. The substrate is one of the most crucial aspects of growing strawberries hydroponically. Aeration of the root zone is essential for strawberries. As a result, it is advised that strawberries be grown in a medium with at least 15% porosity in the root zone.
In order to avoid deep burn or calcium deficiency, we need to work on nighttime humidity, maintaining a relative humidity of when night time humidity is below these numbers. It's common to find deep burn in the colics and also strawberry leaves. It's hard to maintain these conditions of humidity inside of
your growing system, but it's possible to work with alternative treatments of humidity in order to avoid calcium deficiency.
Strawberry plants might take anywhere from 90 to 120 days to bear fruit. It should take roughly 100-120 days if you're using the right type of hydroponic growth system and it's working properly. When strawberries become infected, what should you do? What causes it to spread, and how can you prevent it from spreading further? A plant can become infected with diseases in a variety of ways, one of which is by being too close to other plants that have the same disease. Make sure your strawberry plants have lots of room to grow so they don't spread! Make sure you don't overwater or fertilize your strawberries, as this may cause them to taste sour when eaten.
