Icons not appearing after I type the word?

Recently I downloaded PASS and the Write With Icons isn't working. I type in words, but the icons don't appear. Do you know what might be happening here?

Thank you so much! Our Accent-using student has custom words, like each classmate, room teacher & itinerant. I am making cards for the student to learn these. My only problem is I absolutely positively CANNOT access male teacher names (class TA, Music, Gym). All the female teachers, no sweat. Male teachers, no-can-do. Input?
